On October 15-17 we went to a lovely place called Rhyd Ddu. We went with Mr Jones, Mr M Jones, Mrs Jones, Mrs Byrne, Mr Francis, Mr Price and the class, we met Morffudd, Cemlyn and Paul there.Firstly, on Wednesday we went up a humongous mountain called Mynydd Sugyn, It was a copper mine mountain. We walked about half way then stopped and ate lunch, then the heavens opened and it chucked it down, we got cold and soaked. Also we had to walk through wet grass and slippery rocks, we slipped lots of times it was horrible but it is funny now. After that we all went down to the café and had a hot chocolate and a cake.

Secondly ,we went up a short walk called The Watkin Path. When we were walking up there was lots of sheep and beautiful views, also on the way up we saw lots of big piles of slate and were drew our names on the slate .Once we got over the slate we all got stuck in swamps and mud. WHAT A WALK!!

Later that day we went on another walk called The Forest Walk to Beddgelert. On the walk we saw lots of beautiful waterfalls. The walk was very narrow and slippery. When we finished we ended up at Gelert’s grave, afterwards we got back had tea and watched a film.

Thirdly, on Friday we walked up Dinas Emrys. First we watched a film about the wall that kept falling down. Then we had to find 5 facts, and then we started walking. We were heading to see the wall, then we went to see the lake that the two stones were in that the dragons lived in. After we saw that we headed down. When we got back were started packing then left.

We had a great trip, but it was very tiring. We would love to go back but we would hope for better weather.

By Ellie, Freya and Mia Pedder.

World War II Emotions Poems

We have been learning about World War II. We listened to Neville Chameberlain\’s \’Announcement of War\’ speech and considered how the announcement would have made us feel if we were children in 1939. Finlay, Sophie and Evie have written the following poems:
