Hey Mr Jones,
I was searching the net the other day and I thought back to like when I was
in school and I remembered that you had a website, so I looked it up and was
amazed once again how well San Sior is doing.
Nic Strange here. You may remember me. One of your past pupils. I think it’s
nice sometimes to look back at you roots and what started everything off to
where I am now. I won’t rant on and on but maybe you would like to know what
I am doing with myself years after San Sior.
So I left Coleg Llandrillo last year after finishing my A-Levels. And I
thought that was hard but I managed to get the grades to get me into UWIC
(Cardiff University). I decided that I wanted to do something sport related
so I chose to do a BA Sport Development. It’s an amazing course and the city
is brilliant. Although at times the workload is intense I’m finding the
course really interesting. Along side this choice
of going to Cardiff was I got the chance to train
practically full time with the Welsh Badminton Squad in the Institute of
Sport. This year I got into the Senior Welsh squad
and in December will be competing in my first senior international in
Ireland in a Wales VS Scotland VS Ireland match. Training is very tough now
but it’s going well. My goal now is to make the Commonwealths in India which
by no means is impossible. Got to have faith and determination which is
something that San Sior gave me.
Probably one of the main reason for me being where I am now was because your
school gave me the opportunity to try everything that I ever wanted to. Not
only that but you always have trust in your pupils
that will drive them to excel. On the website the school is looking amazing
with everything that is happening and I hope that it continues.
Anyway I should probably best get back to my work as its starting to pile up
a bit.
Hope Everything is well.
Thanks,
Nic Strange
